gray market seller? do you have an authorized dealer for deye in USA? all deyes comes from gray market seller... i dont know what point you are trying to prove...Looks like many units in Puerto Rico were bricked. Feel bad for the customers who bought from gray market sellers. Hopefully they get sued out of business or at least refund their customers money.
SolArkdo you have an authorized dealer for deye in USA?
agree and if you have a solark you know what could happen to your system if the chinese get mad at them.My takeaway from this is that running any inverter or other electronic equipment that requires being connected to another party, especially one that is unfriendly to us is not a good idea. It has me thinking that it meight be better to get off grid asap so our power company has no say in our power production.
Only Sol Ark (at their stupid high price markup).gray market seller? do you have an authorized dealer for deye in USA? all deyes comes from gray market seller... i dont know what point you are trying to prove...
Are you from Puerto Rico and are you a solar installer?gray market seller? do you have an authorized dealer for deye in USA? all deyes comes from gray market seller... i dont know what point you are trying to prove...

Sol-Ark’s mission, as a veteran-owned company created 12 years ago, is to enable the most reliable, innovative, and affordable energy storage solutions to power families and businesses. Because of this mission and the direct effect that Deye’s actions may have on individual families, for the period from November 15, 2024 through December 31, 2024, Sol-Ark will permit each consumer household that has installed a Deye-branded inverter and has had that inverter’s functions disabled by Deye, to purchase a new Sol-Ark inverter of equivalent performance at a substantially discounted price. If you purchase a Sol-Ark inverter under this limited program, Sol-Ark will pay to have the Sol-Ark unit shipped to your address in Puerto Rico. Sol-Ark will not make this offer available to any person after December 31, 2024. The offer is limited to consumer households and is not being made available to commercial entities or for installation at commercial facilities (only residential locations). Sol-Ark will not be responsible, and will not pay, for any costs related to installation of the Sol-Ark inverter, removal of any Deye inverter or for any damage that may have been caused by the Deye inverter or Deye’s actions.
Fixed that for you.agree and if you have a solark you know what could happen to your system if thechineseOEM get mad at them.

Blue screens on DEYE inverters, a problem that should not go unnoticed.
Today we woke up to the news that hundreds of DEYE brand inverters appeared with a blue screen indicating that the device is not authorized to operate in the United States (including Puerto Rico). This is a cause for great concern, as these inverters are widely used in small solar installations, especially in low-income homes. We know that DEYE technology in the United States and its territories is regulated through specific agreements with Sol-Ark, the legitimate owner of the rights to this technology. However, it is regrettable that some entrepreneurs, despite knowing these regulations, have introduced unauthorized products to the market, leaving customers and installers without the necessary information about the implications of these decisions.
Today we are facing one of those consequences, and it is not a minor issue, there are families who worked hard to install these solar systems and now, suddenly, see them inoperative. There is an urgent need to find an immediate solution that is not simply disconnecting the antenna so that the software does not detect the location in Puerto Rico, as this only postpones the problem until a service or an update is necessary. This case is a warning sign for the energy development of our island. While in this case it is a matter of licenses and patents, there are also other scenarios in which inverters in the market do not meet quality, safety or efficiency standards, which represents additional risks for our communities.
I trust that Sol-Ark (Portable Solar LLC), a company with which I have always had a positive experience, will seek a solution that does not leave communities hostage to a situation for which they are not responsible. To my installer friends, who work hard under the sun every day, this is a reminder of the importance of thoroughly researching the brands and products we use. I am sure that none of us want to find ourselves in the uncomfortable position of having to explain to a client why their solar system does not work due to an issue beyond their control.
It is time for different sectors to come together to ensure that this type of situation does not happen again and that customers, especially the most vulnerable, can fully trust the solar systems they installed to save their lives. This is further evidence that solar development in PR is a complex one.
you can but if you had the deye conected to solar man app apparently they selected some customers and literally shut their home down by killing the equipment remotely. So am I understanding right that you cannot even start up a new Deye (SolArk) without connecting to the internet first? Someone mentioned something about a serial check at the commissioning process.
How is that going to help the end users that need power now?Looks like many units in Puerto Rico were bricked. Feel bad for the customers who bought from gray market sellers. Hopefully they get sued out of business or at least refund their customers money.
It’s not. Customers got screwed by their installers. How is that going to help the end users that need power now?
What about the ones that didn't use an installer? It’s not. Customers got screwed by their installers.
This is something that will not be resolved quickly.
