CHINA kills all non Sol-Ark branded DEYE unit in the USA this morning.

It's not as if Deye and Sol-Ark should be in competition. Sol-Ark buys its product line from Deye, if I'm not misunderstanding things. This talk about Sol-Ark suing Deye seems strange to my ear because it is tantamount to biting the hand that feeds. If Deye is providing Sol-Ark with its product, why would it not also provide the unlock codes?
Sol-Ark sued Deye because Deye violated a contract they had for Sol-Ark exclusivity in the Americas. Businesses sue each other all the time and continue to still do business with each other, strangely enough.

I've been keeping my mouth shut, visited Deye in person several times this year, have been in the actual Solark inverter R+D lab there too lol (super nice, didnt take photos tho). robby's CCP comment was hilarious given that Deye was the first time I saw a CCP delegation at a company.

I agree with the sentiment that control and cloud has to move to a 100% american option on comms hardware we developed, it is underway and we will have that option too, however, Armageddon aside if companies don't recognize your right to property you have a much more dangerous enemy within.

You mean another one of James Mystery messages that has no one reputable that will come forward to verify it.
Have you not fallen for this stuff enough times?
How would Sol-Ark have any codes to unlock Deye units?
Because Deye have given the Codes to SolArc

Yeah they are greedy SOBs.
The American companies like the cheap products that they can Mark up a lot and the Chinese like the money and Jobs.
The Chinese despise the Americans and have no loyalty to them and they honestly have no loyalty to even other Chinese.
Everyone company in China will screw the next company if they can get away with it and make a buck.
Must be a nightmare to have an original idea in China and then see everyone else copying it a month later.

"pulled my dongle" :ROFLMAO:
Plenty of talk about "I left my dongle in" , and "Wang", plus pulling the dongle.

Then we have "The problem is what happens if you put the dongle back in. It seems one cannot just pull it"

Someone doing a search on the internet with the keywords dongle or Wang will run across this thread and wonder what kind of site this is. :ROFLMAO:

How do you know Simon identifies as a “him?” Did Robby share that information with you?
Just because I'm a so called communist doesn't mean I care about identity politics. I suppose Simon might identify as any number of things. The only thing we know for certain is that Simon identifies as a VP of marketing at Sol-Ark. I don't know what the pronouns for something like that are, but I can think of a few words that would likely trigger moderation. :)

The unlock code could be in hex. That would add a few tries to the que......
It could be a common code that unlocks all units, like 76543 but I would doubt that they would do that for obvious reasons.
More likely the code is run through an algorithm that encodes it to your inverters serial number.

They sold it under obligation not the sell in the USA..
There are other 120/split phase territories in the world, that have 0 to do with the us or Canada.

Again buyers took a risk, now they need to deal with the ones the have a contract with, their grey market sellers
Agreed.
Similar to the way the world is divided up into licensed distribution zones for DVD's. You buy the wrong one at your risk.
Also, can anything be done on this forum to prevent subjects like this from going off in all directions for some 65 pages of inconclusive speculation?

The plot really thickens.

Notice the fine print

These battery stacks will pair with Sol-Ark inverters.

If I'm seeing correctly they are putting server rack batteries in series.

What the heck is going on?

Hard to say what exactly might be occurring. It is possible Deye is introducing new products and bypassing Sol Ark.

It is possible that SA put out the kill button on Deye if Deye is not letting SA have access to the new product line. Of course, plausible deniability and things on the surface don't always represent the actual inner workings.

Should this be a new thread?
Maybe.

Something about the whole scenario has not been just quite right. Several theories but I'd wager there is some corporate disagreements taking place and the result is this thread,

They can keep their new products, not interested.
You aren't the market Deye is looking for.

It's a big world and we are seeing a global power shift towards China, BRICS and other countries. China intends to sell to third world countries that have limited resources for generating power or developing countries that are building an industrial base. The size of these systems would support light manufacturing.

It is about trade in general, trade wars, and developing third world countries. Those developing third world countries will have favored trading status not only with China but the US market as the global political scene would not allow the US to browbeat these developing nations. China will still have an export market, just not to the US with tariffs coming online and trade restrictions. But those developing nations will get favored status with the US in order to fill the pockets of US corporations. China will still make money and export based upon this.

Look at the macro picture when it comes to trade. China has been playing this smart for over a decade by building infrastructure in developing countries.
