Are there more than 2-5 people seeing this error on their screen at this point? Didn’t read all pages. Anyone have a video on YouTube of it vs the photoshopped picture recently forged?
No way to know. Also I'd like to know if there has been any in the UK or Pakistan. Are there more than 2-5 people seeing this error on their screen at this point? Didn’t read all pages. Anyone have a video on YouTube of it vs the photoshopped picture recently forged?
Spoke with the managing partner at a famous law firm that only handles class-action cases. They are a large international firm, and the deal in much bigger cases than 2-5 people, but asked me to share more information if the scope/impact changes. No way to know. Might want to check out the other thread. It now looks like its a list of stolen inverters and they were bricked via serial numbers of the stolen shipment. If that's the case there is zero grounds for anyone to stand on.Spoke with the managing partner at a famous law firm that only handles class-action cases. Cases they normally handle are when insurance refuses to pay after major natural disaster, airline crash, or terrorist attack (hypothetical examples), the parties come together to sue the insurance companies for refusing to paying out to victims.
This case is *way* below them right now.
If the facts in this matter are true, there is a high potential for a lawsuit waiting to happen.
Records from Sol-Ark and Deye would be requested, and if not provided, a subpoena would be filed to compel testimony by a witness or production of evidence under a penalty for failure. The smart thing for both companies would be to tell the truth. If this is all a hoax/scam by a competitor (EG4) or partner of any party, it would be great if they would come clean, and soon. IP addresses of the posts at LinkedIn and here in this forum could help with the narrative as well. I'm sure the admins have already looked at this.
I have no skin in this game. I am not impacted by this, other than a lot of time reading about 50 of these 84 pages of posts.

The problem is with the lack of official statements it could be aliens for all we know. Not sure if I can believe that story. Someone posted it because he heard it from a friend who knows someone..
I think there was also one user who had bought it from Deye (@webbbn ) directly or something similar.
A Deye PR person may have made up this story to limit the damage and possibly benefit from it (prevent theft).
I‘m in Costa Rica, and my inverter is down, bought it from Alibaba from a big reseller. Not stolen, not illegal. so you can believe it.Not sure if I can believe that story. Someone posted it because he heard it from a friend who knows someone..

If they had been stolen, Deye would have told me immediately. No indication from Deye that I have a stolen inverter. That's what I meant.
I have a hard time believing that these were stolen units.
The inverter was in operation for a year and it would have been easy for Deye to report this immediately, but they did not. Instead, they told the reseller to contact SolArk. Deye and SolArk know exactly what’s going on.Even legitimate channels can sometimes get counterfeit, or in this case I suppose (possibly) stolen, material.
Good news is that could give some recourse, at least if the "big reseller" is still around.
Best solution in that case could be for the reseller to pay Deye to unbrick a specific inverter, then attempt to go after his supplier.
The "Stolen" claim included that Deye waited until many/most of the units were online.
Had they bricked the first one that showed up on internet, word could have gotten around so all the rest were kept airgapped.
This is still a wakeup call for everyone who wasn't already a Paranoid or Prepper.

Okay so you called Deye and what are they telling you?If they had been stolen, Deye would have told me immediately. No indication from Deye that I have a stolen inverter.
We do not sell split-phase Deye residential equipment. The affected customers were using commercial three-phase high-voltage off-grid systems. After having attorneys review our agreements, it was clear that Deye had no reason to fear Sol-Ark, as their agreements pertain to different equipment and markets.
Wow I missed something......Sol-Ark cannot compete, leading to their ill-advised decision to force a power shutdown on inverters.
They told me to call the reseller, the reseller called Deye, Deye sell told him I need to call SolArk, SolArk will sell me Inverter witch is outside my Specification. No Code. Deye support told me too, it’s a decision from DEYE sells to block the Inverters. DEYE support can help me but Deye sells don’t allow them to give me the Code.Okay so you called Deye and what are they telling you?
If it's legit just plug it into a network running a VPN out of Australia.
They would have to give you the code and turn it back on.
Wouldn't that be dishonest to pretend that the unit is somewhere it is not?Okay so you called Deye and what are they telling you?

When dealing with a Chinese company, dishonestly is expected.Wouldn't that be dishonest to pretend that the unit is somewhere it is not?![]()
CEO from SolArc forced Deye for NordAmercia (Panama to Alaska)Wow I missed something...
According to SolarNow, a vendor in small Port Ludlow Washington (from Bainbridge Island, so I get the small town thing), they sold and installed Deye 3-phase commercial gear, and it also got bricked, and are working with Deye on a solution. Missed that.
Did someone at Sol-Ark admit to force Deye to power down the inverters in USA and Puerto Rico?
Any statement about this that I missed? Any proof of this claim?CEO from SolArc forced Deye for NordAmercia (Panama to Alaska)
So did you ask the guy for a refund since he sold it to you and it's not allowed in this Market? They told me to call the reseller, the reseller called Deye, Deye sell told him I need to call SolArk, SolArk will sell me Inverter witch is outside my Specification.
