Very interesting.
You are a tool. Sadly not used for the right job or too often.what is the code though.![]()
The code is 5 digits. Try again. You are a tool. Sadly not used for the right job or too often.![]()

I don't disagree. This is our best guess, as to what has happened. But if they're disabling them to try to enforce the sales policy / contractual requirements, it would correspond pretty closely with the observed pattern of outages of the "US version of low pressure fracture phase" (120/240V split phase). (Exception being the report of a unit killed in Costa Rica, a Central American country (though that might be a different model or some error))
No insult meant here, just an observation and some thoughts on better ways to spend what time you have on this planet...Personal insults are uncalled for.
I don't know how to make myself any more clear:
"Sorry, I meant the agreement has no relevance, not your statement."
"I agree, it was relevant."
I was not disagree with @timselectric.
I do agree that this thread is completely useless, so I'm out...
This agreement may not be current. If it is why were 3 phase units in WA bricked? Also, one in Costa Rica (Central America) was bricked. The Sol-Ark dealer map shows many dealers in Central America.
"Sol-Arks is much more refined and all the bugs have been eliminated." Uhhh...Firmware was a Joint venture between the two companies. Things diverged about 2 years ago and Sol-Ark stopped sharing code with Deye. There are lots of differences between the two versions. Sol-Arks is much more refined and all the bugs have been eliminated. Deye Firmware still has bugs that cause certain issues.
low pressure = low voltage seems like a resonable translation, pressure is a good analogy for voltage."Low pressure fracture phase"
Chinglish is so funny, sometimes.
The question was asked to compare Deye firmware to Sol-Arks and yes SolArk has crushed all of the bugs that most of us experienced very early on. That is why I have personally not updated my Inverter in 18 months."Sol-Arks is much more refined and all the bugs have been eliminated." Uhhh...
Please list them.First of all. Full stop...... there are still a plenty of bugs in Sol-Ark firmware!
My friend down the road is an Installer and he is not having any issues that would make him think of switching and he has over 400 Installs. And you as a single inverter end user have absolutely zero argument to me as an installer that literally is involved on anywhere from 1 to 3 Sol-Ark installs per week!!! I'm sorry @robby but there are still plenty of bugs and they (Sol-Ark) don't listen to us installers!
Now isn't that the Rub.Obviously we like Sol-Ark inverters, or we wouldn't still install this many! But you, dear @robby , should really stop with the high horse Sol-Ark bragging up!
Lol you may consider it BS, that is fine by me.If the admins here need to remove this comment, that is fine. I'm just tired of hearing this from @robby every time there is a discussion involving Sol-Ark! So I'm calling you out straight up! Stop with the BS!
I welcome a thread.Perhaps I'll start a thread to specifically discuss Sol-Ark bugs and issues and request no comments that don't prove otherwise! Sol-Ark has fallen into a "big profit" mentality and it is sadly showing in the lack of taking care of their repeat customers! I do hope this changes, but as of now, this is reality!
Just FWIW.....

I wonder what the % of sales to DIY is for the 18Kpv? Sol-Ark is single digit if I recall, so most issues won't be on here, but with the installer. The 18Kpv, being in the lower price bracket, seems more likely to be a DIY install. That, and this site is very SS friendly, so more likely to draw their users here. The question was asked to compare Deye firmware to Sol-Arks and yes SolArk has crushed all of the bugs that most of us experienced very early on. The volume of complaints on the Forum vs say the 18Kpv pretty much backs that up.
Fook Yu was the guy at Deye who came up with the bricking idea. We're all just waiting for an official statement from Deye.
That will more than likely confirm what we believe.
They have already passed the time, to say Oops, and sorry.
But I don't expect them to say "fuck you" , officially.
They did that already via the inverter screens... bit like being dumped by text messageBut I don't expect them to say "fuck you" , officially
Its a world market, if the reports going out to Europe and other parts of the world, do you think the people will say its only a problem in US or they are thinking, Can I trust DEYE? What? it’s a backdoor in the software? DEYE can shutdown me?How does Deye lose? They have to crack down on illegal sales to comply with their Sol-Ark agreement. They aren't going to lose sales, only those that shouldn't happen. Anyone saying they wouldn't by a Deye now shouldn't have access to a Deye. Those that can buy a Deye aren't affected.
What Deye did sucks for those affected, but it doesn't hurt Deye. It’s a world market, do you really think if the report goes to Europe and the other Parts of the world, the people will say” that’s not interesting for me? Or they are like Oh its a backdoor in the software they can shut me down too” as producer you loose a lot of trust if you are doing this, still a lot of poeple will buy because its cheep, its a good product, but you not everyone.10-20% will change.
I think 99.99% of the people who will consider Deye who are supposed to be able to buy Deye where they are either aren't going to know what happened, or not worry about it.Its a world market, if the reports going out to Europe and other parts of the world, do you think the people will say its only a problem in US or they are thinking, Can I trust DEYE? Yes a lot of people still will buy from DEYE. But 10-30% will not buy. It will hurt DEYE but it’s not measured.
Sometimes the world and the poeple are crazy and nothings make sense. And DEYE think its there right. But maybe they are waking up one morning and recognize they are wrong. But thinking that’s never will happen.Or it will happen but Deye will not admit it, because that would be a sign of weaknessThe whole thing doesn't make any sense.
Cutting off your nose to spite your face.
