Hooked up CHINS 48V 5000W Inverter to AC power, but no display.

No support from company (no contact info, period!). Can't find any user forums....

About to return the unit to Amazon...

Have you connected a battery to the DC side, some inverters do not turn on unless they are fed from the DC side.

Inverter/charger: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09H4K8768/

The manual is here:

From Amazon reviews:

"It comes configured for lead acid battery, and the entire unit will remain unpowered if you hook up LiFePO batteries + the AC.. So, wire the AC only at first, then configure the battery settings. Then you can connect the battery."

I have LiFePO batteries, so I hooked up the unit to AC house power. Nothing shows up on the display. The manual says to check the battery or PV air switch (breaker I presume?). Not sure whether they are referring to the breakers in the unit itself, or... ? Press any key on the screen to exit from the screen setup mode. ...but nothing appears on the screen.

Assuming you did this: IMG_7664.jpeg
And measured power with a DVM there and followed the other instructions:

Then if the AC/INV light doesn’t flash then return it.

Thank you!
At this point I am not connecting either battery or solar power -- only 115v AC house input current. Fingers crossed that it will work without those connections.
