I've been running a 24v 3kva MPPSolar Inverter since 2014 and it's been reliable, slightly noisy under load but tolerable. Given my increased needs and loads am now wanting to upgrade to a 48v Hybrid, grid-tied inverter and am looking at the Deye: 5Kw Single Phase Hybrid Inverter (Sun-5K-SG01LP1-EU) vs Solis S6 Pro 6kW Advanced Hybrid Inverter comparison from anyone. One thing that seems to make me partial to the Solis is the startup voltage (PV) of 90v, whilst the Deye is at 150v. I have 12 x 250w panels and presently cannot afford to pull the trigger and add more panels after outlaying the purchase of the Inverter plus the battery. Battery would be to initially limp along with a 100ah modular battery and add as funds permit. Would appreciate forumites giving their 2-cents.

Upfront am aware of the different in size in that the Solis is 6kW, but there's not Deye 6kW available near me. I would've opted for the Sunsynk but their after sales in this part of the world is not very reliable, at least the Solis, they will replace the whole inverter if there's an issue and not repair... any other reasons to not opt for the Deye? Am also looking at the fanless Deye and equivalent fanless Solis as this will be installed in a small living space, where noise levels need to considered.

Am in Zimbabwe, Africa so we do not have any rebates on solar so costs are 100% upfront with no subsidies, AT ALL.

Welcome!

Very happy with my Solis inverters. But which model are you looking at? The S5-EH1P has a start-up voltage of 120V; though once started the MPPT range is 90V - 520V.

Am interested in the S6-EH1P(3-6)K-L-PRO. Any thoughts on this vs the Deye?

That new model looks very good. Unfortunately not yet approved for connection to grid in UK - but hopefully soon. The power outputs are very impressive and it still has the nice LCD screen of my S5-EH1P model (y).
