Connecting Two Oupes Mega 1 units

Why? It can be done with ECO and PECRON units. You an also do it from your regular main panel as long as they are on different circuits. What is your thinking behind your answer?

PECRON has this and ECOFLOW has a similar accessory, so why couldn't I do the same with any other 110V pair of units?

First off, my understanding why it can work on your house main panel is because each side of the panel are a different phase from the same source. thus there is no chance of it being out of phase. If you look at a 240v breaker in your panel, it pulls from the 2 sides of the panel, not just one. In our condition, we have 2 sources of power that when connected in this fashion may, or may not be in phase. That is probably why on the pecron device you showed has some sort of phase alignment procedure (beeps). According to it's documentation, it should only be used with a specific unit, and appears to me to not be a universal solution. Here is what someone on their site said about that.....

"When you get yours, be sure to check the back of the Connect Box for the 'Beep Codes' For me when I turned the first 3600 on, and before I could get the 2nd 3600 on, the beep code 4 (5 Beeps) sounded off once then after having the second 3600 on no more Beep Code 4. Beep Code 4 is this: ''5 Beeping mean Phase L1 and L2 are unbalanced.''

It may work, or it may not. After having an Oupes unit that completely stopped working because of either failure or a simple but "fatal to the unit" mistake, I now have a very expensive "brick" . I would be very hesitant to use something like this (pecron) as it may somehow destroy it or worse case both of the connected units. Even though mine was still within the 3yr warranty, Oupes support would not honor it or help me out in any way. Oupes owners must know that as of this date, they have NO WAY to repair our units if they fail. The only way they "fix it" is to send you a working unit, so they have an incentive to blame you for how you used it (without analyzing it to know if was your fault). In all fairness to Oupes, they did offer me a reduced price but mandated that I send my old unit back. When I told them I wouldn't be sending my $1000 investment back as I'm attempting to spend my own $$ to get it repaired, they back peddled and reneged on the lower price deal. Apparently they don't value me as a long term customer and it tells me a lot about the company. I will not be going back...

I hope this give you some insight and is helpful!
