Controlling heating system based on excess solar

Hi,

I am planning a new off grid system in Spain for a new build house that will use an air source heat pump + 2000l thermal store + underfloor heating as the primary heating system. I would like to be able to dynamically change the thermostat temperature based on whether there is excess solar power or not.
I.e. imagine that the comfortable indoor temperature in winter is 20 degrees C. If there is no excess solar then the thermostat should be at 20C. But if there is excess solar then increase the temperature to 22C.

What control systems, thermostats etc would i need to do this? In having nothing now and open to considering any systems.

I can't give you a specific parts list, but basically you need automation equipment. Home Assistant is a very popular and powerful approach that works with many popular third party equipment suppliers. For example, you could use the "Forecast Solar" integration (sort of like an app that runs on Home Assistant controller) to predict the day's solar output (it does a good job at this). Based on the day's forecast you could set the temperature of a connected (e.g., wifi) thermostat. You will need to learn a bit about home automation to do this but it's not hard and can be a fun hobby.
