I have a 55 amp standard 120 converter in my travel trailer, WFCO 9855. I also have a fixed 100 watt panel with a pwm that can be set to LIFEPO4 and a 200 watt Renogy with its own pwm set to LIFEPO4. Just bought an Amperetime 200ah, Woud it be OK to charge with the converter when it needs a lot and then top off with the solar panels? Spec page https://wfcoelectronics.com/product/wf-9855-55-amp/

Thanks for advice.

Hello,

Where does the converter get it's power from? Is this from 30A shore power? Thx

.

Shore or an inverter generator. 30 amp is correct. I am putting a battery disconnect in the positive cable by the battery. So if it is connected to shore power I could just disconnect the battery.

Yes the WFCO 8955 will work perfectly well for occasional boost charging. I would expect close to 60 amps at 14.4 volts for four hours if your wiring is good.
