Converting A 48V DIY Battery Box Kit For 24V Operation?

My current battery bank is presently 24VDC and am giving thought to ordering a DIY box similar to this one the link and reconfiguring the internal battery cell connections similar to this schematic. Instead of using their included flexible-bus jumper to series connect both battery groups I would instead fabricate my own welding cable jumper to parrallel the two battery groups for 24V. If I ever went to a 48V system, then all I would need to do is change the battery bus bar connections back to their original 48V design. My guess is that the included BMS would still connect as normal or am I missing something?

That is what I did with two 12v 4s batteries, I had custom cases made with two 12v 304ah batteries per box.
