Recently carried out an upgrade on my solar setup. A bit of context.
I am from Nigeria and grid in my country can be quite reliable. I set out to have a system completely independent of the grid and have this running for the past 6 years. Sometimes last year I started to plan on a comprehensive system offgrid which included
Inverter Upgrade from 3kva 24v inverter to a 5kw 48v inverter a white label product from voltronic Axpert MKS series.
Battery Upgrade from 4 x 200AH Flooded Acid batteries to Eve 280Ah 3.2v 16S batteries.
Solar panel upgrade by adding 2150w to an existing 3kw array.
The project was wrapped up over the weekend and I also refreshed my monitoring system based on emoncms and emonpi. Emonpi runs on a raspberry Pi and quarries the inverter, Victron BMS 700 and Victron Solar Charge controller.
