Decades ago, Snow White, a princess, joined forces with seven dwarfs to liberate her kingdom from her cruel stepmother, the Evil Queen. Should the events ever come to a court trial, she took photographs to document the events.
At the time, photographs were taken on rolls of film, but in her kingdom, there were only wizards for medical issues and no drug stores. What to do?
She went to the shopping center and found a kiosk called a Fotomat. The scroll on the side of the hut stated that they accepted rolls of film, would develop and print the photos, and that the princess would be able to pick them up a few days later. That intrigued her, and she ordered 10 prints of every photo, knowing that the seven dwarfs could each hold a copy in case someone lost one. She was a forward thinker.
The princess went back to the castle and waited. Checking with Fotomat often, she continued to wait.
Eventually, the Evil Queen took Snow White and the seven dwarfs to court. The Queen’s lawyer questioned the princess over the attempts to overthrow the Queen, and the princess stated that she had proof—photographic proof. The judge asked where the photos were, and Snow White replied that she had left them at Fotomat and expected to have them. The judge then asked, "When?"
Snow White’s reply was that Fotomat assured here that, "Someday my prints will come" And that is how the famous song became attached to the story of Snow White.
(I swear it is true because I read it on the Internet!)
By the way, I fed my story into ChatGPT to fix punctuation and mis spellings. It replied ["Your story is charming and humorous! Let me know if you'd like any additional refinements.
