Daly BMS B- 54v P- 17.8v

I have a 16s 48v sinopoly 90ah bank. All cells were close on voltage within a few hundredths when assembling. I have ensured all leads are connected properly after having a few wrong at first The battery bank voltage and B- are the same. P- lead is showing 17.8v though. Resistance between p- and b- is not able to zero. I have not dared connect to charger or inverter in current state. I tried shorting out the b- p- as shown on other feeds but nothing yet. I don’t have another 48v BMS to test against as I had only built 12v batteries before. Any options before I buy another BMS to resolve the issue?

Update, working with support and did some other troubleshooting but not much change. They had me connect to charger, now voltage on p- is 4v. Cells are 3.22 to 3.30 currently. Most are 3.26 to 3.30.

Update, resolved the issue by shorting while connected to inverter. Thanks to Will’s video

Ok, shorting it only worked for a short time. Will see when another BMS arrives.
