Current Situation
So, while on the water, I accidentally shorted one of the balance cables to a negative terminal and then had zero voltage coming out of the BMS. Just a tiny little pop and I was dead in the water. Thought I had killed it that quick. Well, I searched the forum and found how to reset it by touching the P- terminal to the B-. She was alive and well again! The end.
No smoke and a happy ending but I'll be more careful with the balance leads now. I guess it just went into protection mode and shut it down. I know this is basic stuff but I figured I would make a post for when I do this again...??
This was on a standard, basic 60a Daly 4s 12v BMS
