Hi all
is anyone feeling like educating me?
I have a Daly bms, but the manuals don’t explain the settings and exactly what they do / affect. I can’t find anything else in the forums similar.
I’d just like to develop a deeper understanding of my system for future knowledge and would appreciate if you shared yours.
ill attach 2 screen shots, the setting in question are:
Cell volt high protect- I know what this does. But why would the default be 3.75? I’ve changed it to 3.65 which would better protect the cell I assume? Or should it be 3.65
cell volt low protect - again turns off discharge if cell hits a value. It was default at 2? I’ve set to 2.5?
sum volt high protect - all cells combined - high.
sum volt low protect - all cell combined - low.
Diff volt protection? If. Cells get way out of whack I assume it disconnects ? Is .8v default okay?
chg and discharge protections. These make sense.
Page 2 questions
cell reference voltage? Assume 3.2 for lifepo4
balanced open start voltage - is this when the balancing kicks in?
balanced open differential voltage - not quite sure how this works
Thanks in advance
