Hi all, i have Daly smart bms 4S 150A (fan) and after little short the bms stop work. I decided to fix it.
Bottom heat sink is easy to remove , but top one not so. To protect control board from damages i cut the top heat sink.
First "problem" was the black resin. With a heat gun you can remove it relatively easily . When you get to MOSFETs you can check which on is shorted. I had 2 shorted mos , one of each side of the board (both from discharge group). With cutters i disconnect the Gate and the Source . After this i test the bms is it working anddd everything is OK.
Now the 2nd problem . No any specks on this MOS . The part N is : SW020R03VLT . I contact Daly but they refused to give me information. To get some info i test one MOS and the result showed Vgs(th)-2.2V and Ciss-11.2nF . I decided to go for 40V ~150A TO-263(3) MOS with logic level ! There is a ton of models but most of them are a bit pricy. I pick SQM40022E_GE3 or IRFSL7437PBF (it is TO-262 but will do the job).
So if you have some information about some Daly bms MOSs post here to make a good list.
