Dear,

circumstances have forced me to re-register. I am therefore new to this forum and have not contributed anything yet. Therefore, I will be very grateful if someone will be willing to guide me on the solution to my problem with Daly Smart BMS 60A with BT.

I am unable to get the app to work with the actual battery capacity (120 Ah). It keeps working with the factory capacity (40 Ah). Although I have the actual capacity (120 Ah) correctly entered in the app. I can manually change the SOC value in the settings. If I change the SOC value to e.g. 50%, the remaining capacity figure changes to 20 Ah. Regardless of the battery charge level. So the SOC and remaining capacity figure is completely wrong. I am unable to reconfigure this in the app. The charging and discharging processes work correctly otherwise. This seems to be a software issue. If I charge/discharge cells across the entire capacity range I am always left hanging in the 40 Ah range in the app at 0% or 100% SOC.

The 2nd cells are connected with the 4S system. According to the manufacturer, the maximum charge level is 3.65V per cell. If I set this in the "single cell volt - high protection" field I expect the total charge level to be 14.6V. But in the "sum volt high protect" field I have a value of 14.4V and I am unable to change this to the correct 14.6V. Thus I am unable to charge each cell to maximum capacity in a 4S system because the BMS disconnects the charge earlier. In order to achieve a total voltage of 14.6V, I have to set 3.7V per cell and that is a lot. Where did the 200 mV go?

3. To correct these errors, I have attempted to reset the BMS to factory settings. These attempts end with the error message "This feature is not available yet". I am therefore unable to perform a factory reset of the BMS.

I bought a 3-pin USB-UART cable in the belief that PC Software would allow the problem of faulty SOC and remaining capacity to be resolved. I have tried 3 software from the manufacturer's website with this result:

BMS TOOLv1.14.15 - the software works and communicates with the BMS, unfortunately only in read mode. I am not able to write data/edit values. The administrator password is missing. The password is not the same as the factory password on the BMS.

BMSMonitor V2.4.5 - same problem

JHB_SerialPortV1.322 - software does not connect to BMS at all.

BMS TOOLv1.14.15_1

BMSMonitor V2.4.5_1_1

BMSMonitor V2.4.5_2

The main problem seems to be that I am only able to read data through the application or software and write data very limited in the application.

Steps taken by me:

I performed a full cell charge thinking that the BMS would reset and the SOC and remaining capacity values would be adjusted and displayed correctly. This did not happen, the application and software calculates with a capacity of 40 Ah. The truth is that the charging process was intermittent and during this I played around with the SOC set value as I wasn't sure exactly what was happening. I'm not sure if this has an effect.

So the main problem is the SOC reading and the remaining capacity reading. I have contacted DALY support but given your experience I do not expect a flexible solution.

Many thanks to whoever would contribute to solving my problem, at least in part.

Same problem here... 100 amp ver. 4.0.41. Thank you for saving me some $ and effort concerning the UART interface. If someone solves this please post. If I am doing something incorrect I need to untrash my Google store review. :-) question: if the battery is not discharging or charging- How do you wake the bms up? Switch did not come with bms.

I see you did solve this ( password 12345678) set capacity via uart and pc. Did this solve all your problems?
