DC Circuit Breaker brands recommendation

Check out the Midnite Solar MNDC175.
Its a generic DC breaker box that comes with a very nice 175A battery breaker, then it has spots on the side for smaller din mounted breakers and c series breakers. They seem pricey but the included battery breaker is worth $100 and they can really help clean up wiring mess.

I think the Midnite has a PLUS version that is similar to the PSDC, it has the shunt and bus bars already installed, maybe even the AC bypass breakers, I cant recall, price goes up pretty quick too.

I have Dihool MCCBs but they are really big and won't fit where your old MCBs are. Thing is, I wonder if a MCB really has the ability to quench the DC arc if it trips due to overload.

I have tripped several of the ones I posted.
No issues.

Yes, several times.

Actually no, under full load it has never tripped.
But it has tripped when overloaded.

Both of these are working well for me.

By looking at the images it seems these breakers are polarized, are they bidirectional? Of not then they won't work for the batteries.

The first one is not polarized. The second one is identified as polarized. (But hasn't been an issue through extensive testing)
If you use the second one, wire it according to battery side polarity. As this is the source that will be serving any short circuit.
