DC to Dc charger truck to trailer 7 pin connector

Hello everyone. I am new to this forum , I have installed cable from truck batteries 2 in my Chevy duramax diesel using #6 cable and have Andersen connector to hook to the trailer , I have run my cable to the dc to dc charger, which I think is all done right as per instructions on the Renogy dc to dc / mppt 50 amp , my question is what about the existing cable in the 7 pin plug should I just leave it alone or take it out of the system so not to cause any problems with the dc to dc charger ,, I am thinking I should take out of the equation . What do you all think , and thanks in advance for your response.

Leave ground hooked up and B+ don't hook to dc to dc converter.

Use it for something else or tape it off.

Use it as the signal wire to tell the dc-dc truck is producing alternator voltage
