Please Critique.. I have a 3.2k sqft red iron steel building stand alone shop and am putting the panels on that steel roof. The DIY off grid is permitted and will be inspected.
I prefer the combiners be mounted inside near the inverters.
On the roof i'm thinking a junction box and the terminal block using a wire gland so that from the junction box to the panels one end is mc2 and the other is direct into the terminal block terminating the PV wire,
Then #10 THWN-2 through EMT conduit into the interior of my shop.. where i want to mount the combiners.
At the combiners i was going to delete the MC2's and terminate directly into the terminal blocks inside the combiners.
What do you guys/gals think?
[ ] On the roof should the PV have MC2 at the solar AND junction box end? ( i could repurpose the ones off the Combiners)
[ ] Placement of combiners inside near the inverters
[ ] Direct wire into combiner instead of using the MC2's
