After a bunch of reading, hemming and hawing and looking at my existing loads and circuits I think I have settled on adding a second MP to match rhetoric existing one, but I want to summarize what I think I know…
Set up:
—split phase config;
—switch as group off;
—all loads running thru the MPs
On shore/genny (50A/240V), I will have standard 50A split phase service on both outputs of both inverters;
No power input, both MPs will invert for output 1;
On 30A/15A service, MP1 will charge/pass thru on both outputs, power assist on output 1 and MP2 will invert to output 1.
And all of this will happen automatically eliminating the need for wife and guests to need to know how to configure anything.
