After a bunch of reading, hemming and hawing and looking at my existing loads and circuits I think I have settled on adding a second MP to match rhetoric existing one, but I want to summarize what I think I know…

Set up:
—split phase config;
—switch as group off;
—all loads running thru the MPs

On shore/genny (50A/240V), I will have standard 50A split phase service on both outputs of both inverters;
No power input, both MPs will invert for output 1;
On 30A/15A service, MP1 will charge/pass thru on both outputs, power assist on output 1 and MP2 will invert to output 1.

And all of this will happen automatically eliminating the need for wife and guests to need to know how to configure anything.

Yes. Pass-thru and charging. Note that many generators have two outputs, but are same phase 120V.

Mostly. On different shore powers, you will need to adjust the AC input limit manually.

Additionally, I prefer a custom 30-50A adapter that does not short L1 to L2 on the 50A input, i.e., only pass L, N and G to L1, N and G, respectively.
