Deye 8Kw - Port Gen to Axpert Inverter (Off-Grid)

Hello, everyone,

I have a solar system with deye 8kw single phase and its solar panels.

I also have a separate old system with an Axpert inverter (off-grid) that I use in parallel only to charge the batteries, since the whole house system is connected on the load port of the deye.

Now I would like to try to use the AC output of the Axpert inverter and send it to the GEN port of the deye to use the excess power from the old system.

I have tried to connect the whole thing but in the deye I can hear noises like a relay plugging in and out but it won't go.

Any advice?

Thanks

Have you set the Deye auxiliary port correctly for "generator" ?
Are both systems for the same voltage?
Have you double checked your connections, to make sure that they are not reversed?

If you are hearing the relay flipping back and forth. It doesn't like the input it's seeing.
Also, if it's connected to the grid (on the grid input), it's not going to use the "generator". As long as it's seeing a proper grid source.

This is exactly what happens, the relay closing/opening, yes I had understood that the grid must be disconnected. But do you think there is a way to make it accept that? Could I ground the neutral so that I don't have two-phase anymore?

The neutral should definitely be bonded. But it can only be bonded in one place.
So make sure that there isn't another bond, at the same time.
FYI: it's never "two phase". It's always single phase. If not bonded, it's considered a floating system. (Not anchored)

The problem that even the deye when not connected to the grid has the neutral to ground. I wouldn't want it to create problems.
