Deye inverter cannot turn off the "Time of use" menu.

Hello everyone!

Deye inverter (12KW SUN-12K-SG04LP3-EU), cannot turn off the "Time of use" menu. After removing the tick in the window to disable this function and after saving with Setup (if working with Solarman Business) or confirming the change (if working with the inverter screen), visually this menu is disabled. But when re-entering this menu, it is still active - the tick in the activation window is there. This tick cannot be removed no matter how many times I try to disable this menu and despite me remembering the changes each time.

After restarting the inverter and returning to factory settings, the problem was fixed, but for a short time. After about an hour, the same problem starts again - the menu activates by itself and cannot be deactivated.

Have any of you had this problem, can you help with a solution?

As I'm sure you've seen, many Deye inverters have been disabled and owners not able to access it. I'd be cautious going forward.

Take a look at the three or four dye threads on the forum

This is one:

If that’s the inverter you have, some but not all Dye inverters in some countries have been shut off without owners’ permission.

I'm sorry to state this, but your answer has no relation to the question I asked.

It's strange to give an answer for something that no one asked about... There are probably more appropriate ways to find attention.
Bro, people are literally trying to help save you from having a potential brick hanging on your wall.

As far as settings activating by with no user intervention, I would disconnect the WiFi dongle and attempt to set the settings from the front panel to see if they stick.

Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for this answer! Your answer makes sense, unlike the previous ones. I will try to do this to determine if the problem with me is a bug or someone's interference from the outside.

Hi
You need to disable Grid peak shaving and/or Gen peak shaving. After this, you can turn off Time of use main toggle
If you want to turn off Time of use for short time, you can also disable it for one (or several) days in Week menu

Hello!
I am extremely grateful for your answer and your advice! Only your answer made any concrete sense. Following your recommendations I was able to solve my problem, which I have been trying to solve for a long time.

Interestingly, I was not able to disable Gen peak shaving from the Solarman Business application, although I tried many times. After each attempt to confirm the change, I got the following message "Please complete the following commands - Meter Select". But I was able to do this from the monitor of my master inverter. It is very strange (at least for me) that turning on Gen peak shaving automatically activates the Time of Use menu. It is strange what the logic is. But anyway, I now know how I can disable Time of Use.

Thanks again, Dima, for the useful advice!

I encountered this issue myself just today and found this message on a forum.
When I first installed the inverter, I clearly remember that this menu worked correctly. By sequentially disabling the settings I had made, I realized that my Time of Use wasn’t deactivating because of Gen Peak Shaving. Most likely, this is due to the internal algorithm governing the Power (Time of Use) and Shaving parameters.

As for the app, I can't provide recommendations. I use the Deye Cloud app, and the mentioned parameters are adjusted correctly there.
In any case, I’m glad we managed to resolve this issue!

Y'all, look at their locations. Neither of these members is in the US, or any of the countries listed by Deye. Highly unlikely they'd be effected by the exclusively agreement and shutdown that happened in the US and UK...

Who knows where the next wave of the attack will happen.

This is pure FUD. I’m in Thailand. I’m not going to have a problem. Nor is someone in Ukraine or Bulgaria. This situation is super bad, but I wish everyone would stop polluting every thread about Deye with this.

I hope that you are right. But nobody expected it to happen anywhere, last week.

That’s true but it’s also true that Sol-Ark has an exclusive deal with Deye in the U.S. that’s quite possibly unique in the world.
Not unique
Other distributors have the same agreement with Deye, for other parts of the world. Sunsynk is one, that covers several countries.

However, it is unlikely that what happened can be the answer to every question, to be agreed upon with or without reason.
It's not the answer to every question. It's a PSA, for every user of the products.
Just like if everyone found out that the steering wheels started falling off of a certain vehicle. If someone asks how to adjust the seat on that vehicle. It would be a good idea to warn them about the steering wheel.
