DHL suspends shipments to the United States

Newsflash - just because your mom happened to hop a country's border to give birth to you doesn't mean you're suddenly magically a citizen of that country in most parts of the world.
The entire point of the executive order was 1) bring this to the forefront and 2) start the legal battle that no one really wanted to deal with but needs to be dealt with.
What is a joke is the whole anchor baby thing that some people think it means.
THIS ISN'T HARD.
If I visited France and my pregnant wife gave birth there, should my kid now somehow be a citizen of France even though we were simply visiting for a couple weeks???? HECK NO.
My Grandmother and Grandfather understood the above when they arrived from Scotland...yet apparently today's generations don't care for following the law in terms of legal immigration.
 
my chinese friend took YEARSSSSSS to obtain citizenship and then for his wife and kids.

my romanian friend who came by way of canada, he took YEARS to obtain citizenship. his WIFE also took YEARS and she had fled communism and struggled to escape the country. he abhors illegal immigration.

I took a class years ago as we were doing foster care. one of the participants in the class who owned a trucking company, he had many stories of people in mexico (family) who were across the border and knew if they could make it over theyd have a much better income and way of life for their family.

First off, read the text of it. Why should a kid of two parents who NEITHER are citizens of a country, be a citizen of the country they were born in, when again neither parent is not?
Because that's what the Constitution says.

I know you guys think that paper is a joke; Trump even said he wants "termination" of the "phony" parts of the Constitution. But some of us think it's pretty important. A lot of Americans died to protect it.

Bolded an important part for you. Are citizens (and thus their families) of other countries "subject to the jurisdiction" of the USA?

I'd have to look those up. Odds are (given the TDS-plagued thought process of certain people) that stuff is taken totally out of context, and/or completely ignoring how he's (very successfully, mind you) used extreme language to rile up people. And you of course fall for it over and over.
 
The usual three-step on this is:

1. "He never said that!"
2. "OK he said that but what he really meant was X"
3. "Biden did it first."

So where is DHL today on getting this all straightened out?
We've got a few other carriers about to make history here in terms of how they handle all of this as well as some domestic companies who handle overseas shipments.
Who is supposed to/about to be fined and prosecuted and are the penalties severe enough for not following the law?
Is not prosecution/the latter our only hope for any of this actually working?

No problem having a national language for all things legal. If you want to teach your kids pig-latin at home, go for it. Don't expect a translator at the dmv.

Of course they are. If those two parents come here and have a baby, and also rob a bank while they are here, then they can be prosecuted - because they are subject to the jurisdiction of the US.

You're wrong, as ruled in 1898 by SCOTUS (6-2) in United States vs Wong Kim Ark.

Persons inside the United States are subject to the jurisdiction thereof with limited exceptions of children of foreign sovereigns or their ministers, or born on foreign public ships, or of enemies within and during a hostile occupation of part of our territory, and with the single additional exception of children of members of the Indian tribes owing direct allegiance to their several tribes.

Your example of France is cherry picking. Jus Soli is right of soil, from English Common Law and the US is 1 of 33 countries that follow this. As opposed to Jus Sanguinis (right of blood), codified in French Civil Code of 1803.

You might not like the way the US does it, but that doesn't make you any less factually incorrect in your interpretation.

DHL has the best delivery service in rural Mexico in my opinion. They were the only delivery service in rural Guerrero. 10 hour trip from Mexico city and always delevered on time, except when they were robbed.

I guess we probably dont want to be as good as China. Ive been to China several times. Everyone I met, except for some restraunt waiters were at least bilingual. Even the guys working in the plant. Most could speak English fluently. Many Americans, can barely speak English.

I was in Italy many years ago. At a pizzeria. The waiter came to take our order. He spoke 5 different languages, but not English. My Spanish wasnt good enough. They had to find a different waiter.

The very fact that most other nations know basic English is simply a testament to the fact they NEED to know it in order to function well.
Putting aside languages, how many people in the entire world could explain Ohm's law to you? 0.001%... maybe? Ask your Chinese waiter the next time you are in-country.

China will do more to accomodate foreign language speakers than the US. Thats my point.
China has several variations of "Chinese". Many do not understand the other Chinese dialects. So yes, there are many Chinese that do not understand the other Chinese dialects. So you are entirely incorrect. The Chinese that travel, learn the other dialects. Dont believe me? Ask any person visiting from China. Ask them what variants of Chinese they speak.

Ohms law? Not sure who you deal with, but a lot of people understand Ohms law. A lot more than you think. Ohms law is not rocket science. I knew it in 7th or 8th grade.

Then you should know not to call it the caymen’s. Also not sure why it’s laughable as Cayman has one of the highest cost of living on the planet. Imagine having that plus income taxes? That would be laughable policy.

No, the DHL robberies usually occured when a new cartel took over the area. back and forth over several years. As long as they paid the protection they went through with out problems. The added cost was included in the shipping though.
