discolor behind class-t fuse

I was not aware of this issue. I have a Flir One Pro and found this in the manual.

I'll have to keep an eye on the alignment. Sure wish it didn't require manual intervention.

Mine aligned itself out of the box. So far as I know you only have to do it manually once to adjust for your specific camera location on the phone.

The way I read it was that it depended on how far the Flir camera was from the object. With my Flir One Pro, the phone is used to display the image. I put my phone down and use both hands to hold the Flir steady a few feet from the camera.

There is a way to correct alignment

How many amps did you have at the time?

Cables carry away a lot of the heat the fuse generates.
That was 130 amps.

Also temps were displayed in fahrenheit, so only 36c. No concern right now, and I haven't added any anti-ox yet.

BlueSea documentation says the blocks are tin-plated copper. So we must be seeing tin-oxide.

It could also be silver plating transferring from the fuse? My instinct says no... ?

I'd reading tin-oxide is highly conductive... So maybe this is by design?

I'm talking to BlueSea now, I will let you all know what they say.

My last update, Blue Sea has offered to replace the holder.

They never did confirm if oxidation is common, or speculate on a root cause. They asked for resistance values and stated the very low .1 ohms wasn't a concern. But given the fouling after only one month of use, they offered to replace it.

I wasn't able to clean it off with alcohol, but I choose not to use sandpaper, i didn't want to damage the tin layer.
