Distance between panels and controller

Yes

Below is an example I found. See how they are using smaller panels in series?

What about using two of these? In series, the voltage will be 70v but the current will stay 13 amps? The watts will be 900 or stay 450?
It will add to 900 I learned.

I think OZsolar pointed out everything you need to be doing. If I were you I would be buying another panel like you already have as I assume your climate is always hot so you should be good and not hit max volts.

If you can sell the panel you have and buy two of the ones you are showing you should be good.

I am not going to teach you math here but watch some videos on sieries versus parallel and how the math works for solar panels to get confident instead of believing just some random people on the internet. Will the forum owner and a lot of folks on youtube have some great videos on all this stuff to catch you up on the math and "engineering" behind this all.

Thanks for your reply. Can you point me in a direction to answer my question of why the controller can show max volts but not amps or watts. I understand my mistake now in choosing a panel without enough volts, but I still can't understand why the controller is reading so low on watts and amps despite the panel being rated much higher
