DIY 6 kVA 48V inverter using low freq transformer

Victron Phoenix 48/800VA uses Ruichips RU1H80R 100V 80A 9mOhm transistors 2 in parallel without heatsink but fan cooled. They are very similar to IRFB4410. I am running this inverter at 640 watts and i can hold my finger on the case of one of these transistors without getting burned. Pretty amazing how efficient they are.

Victron has suprisingly good reputation considering what components they use. Hard to imagine that SMA for example would use Ruichips and Sancon.

SMA Sunny Boy -41 series has Epcos caps.
Rated 600V, spec for user is 600V max (which should only occur as Voc in freezing weather, no power draw so no ripple. When operating and rippling maybe 5V, voltage will be 15% lower.)

Somebody didn't respect the limits of this one. Always test voltages at input before turning on the switch.
