DIY battery inverter backup Question

Hi everyone, I have a pre-existing solar array with microinverters that feeds directly into our main panel via a standard 240v breaker.

I'd like to install an inverter/battery bank for use during grid failure that can also use our solar array to power the house and charge the batteries when excess energy is available.

My initial plan involved a panel interlock plate to ensure my backup inverter breaker can't be active at the same time as the main breaker is on but I'm not sure this is the right way to go about it, especially since our solar panels are already on a breaker in that panel. I'd like to be able to use the solar panels in both cases, when the grid is up and also when it's out.

Is there a way to accomplish what I want to do without needing to install a sub panel for critical loads?
