I saw this the other day. Good video and I like the concept. I just hate those batteries. For me personally I have decided no lipo in my diy designs
Let's say I am afraid of those batteries, the penalty for misuse is high.

To be specific, I like his dyi, just saying that it is not for me because of the lipo cells. YMMV ?

Ditto. All three of my builds have been LFP. The only time I would consider another chemistry is if space were a big issue. Example: building an electric motorcycle. Space restrictions require higher energy density.

Here's another way to charge the EB150 or EB240 without sunshine or AC power - a fan-cooled, 5A, 12V-to-48V converter (that's more efficient and less cumbersome than using a 300W inverter+AC charger in a vehicle):
