DIY Solar Generator Inverter Test

I am waiting on 100ah cells to build a DIY solar generator. I bought a 500w Bestek inverter. (good ratings for a smaller inverter and inexpensive) I ran test on it.

The Bestek carried the a loads very well. Even better than the rating. But it has, IMO, a high standby/idle draw because the fan never shuts off. It ramps up/down but never off. A cheaper inverter that I have in my truck shuts off completely without load. But I have never measured the standby/idle draw of it.

What do you think? Should i keep it?

Will just used this inverter in his latest vid. The 760 watt load I ran on that 500 watt inverter for a few minutes in the vid, I ran for 20 minutes after the vid. The inverter didn't waver, and didn't get over 80°F on a 70°F day
