In other threads, we've gotten to talking about how much time is spent in the upper knee of charge over the lifetime of a bank.

That is, anything above about 3.45v

But most of us (myself included) don't keep track of that time. I wonder if that would make an excellent DIY project for a bank, a clock is triggered when your bank reaches 3.45v / cell or higher and simply keeps track of that time spent at or above that level.

Then, at the end of say 4 years, you look at the clock, and realize that you've spent 4 MONTHS in the upper-knee!

Thus, a strategy could be devised that if you are a frequent charge-to-full 100% SOC user (which of course many of us aren't, but I'm talking about consumer-ish cyclic charging) to see if a low-and-slow low voltage charge, or a fast but time-limited charge is the better of the two according to the clock.

That could be interesting.
