Do I need a split phase inverter?

Looking at the wiring diagram below for a mini split air conditioner, the L1 has an N(1) next to it. It’s an Asian brand sold in the US market so the documentation shows wiring instructions for split phase power but I’m thinking it will also run off a single phase 220-240v inverter.

If it doesnt require a neutral it should run off 240 volts. Some appliances that have a neutral run some functions off 120 volts and that is why they need neutral.

i have a mppt 5048 split phase and have 120 or 240 if I need it in my shop, you can just use one side of your b reaker box if you have 2 hot legs. l-1 and l-2 and the one neg { white wire }, for surge matters, I connect a jumpter between 2 20 amp breakers and it will run my wire fead welder fine and powers my table saw

Thanks Ampster. That mini-split looks like a three wire system (L1, L2, and Gnd) and not 4 so it may be worth a call to customer service to confirm.
