Fun. Now I'm curious whether holding the panel to 32°F makes up for any disruption of the sun caused by the ice. First guess is probably not, but interesting to consider.

Not sure but I can say that a 1/2" thick clear ice has low effect on the PV production compared with 1/2" of white fuffy snow that has a huge impact.
My panels pee standing up, because they are at 60-degrees from Horizontal at the moment. LOL
