Hi everyone, I recently purchased two kits from Solar Sovereign, including two EG4 18k inverters, four EG4 outdoor wall mount batteries, 32 Boviet 450W Bifacial Solar Panels, and all the necessary cables and related equipment. They offered $1600 off, free shipping, and a free EcoFlow RIVER 2 Pro, which initially seemed like a great deal. After a quick search, I found some positive mentions on this site, so I decided to go ahead, as their price was over $6,000 cheaper than other retailers.

However, after the processing and shipping times passed, I started asking questions. They responded with this email:

“I just checked the status on your order and see that it’s been packaged and is awaiting pickup by the shipping carrier. Due to a backlog, pickup is scheduled for late next week. Once the carrier picks it up, you’ll receive tracking info within 24 hours. Thanks for your patience. If you have any further inquiries, please feel free to contact us. Warm regards, Ahmed."

At first, I didn’t think much of it, but after more time on this forum, I realized that others had received the exact same email. I felt scammed, especially since they hadn’t responded to my follow-up emails for over a week. I disputed the charge with my credit card company, as they’d held my money for over a month without delivering the order.

On the advice of a forum member, I purchased from shopsolarkits.com. I placed my order yesterday morning, and part of it was already delivered by today — less than 48 hours later. So, my advice: AVOID SOLAR SOVEREIGN. They cannot be trusted to uphold their agreements. I highly recommend shopsolarkits.com based on my experience so far.

Thanks for reading, and I hope this helps someone avoid the mistake I made!
Have a great day!!

How many times have you had a shipping company delay a pickup at your business for a week and a half? I'll start. Never.

Seems like a delay tactic.
It does not seem like a delay tactic, it is a delay tactic...

this is a company in florida which is currently recovering from a hurricane, while simultaneously preparing for another hurricane... strangely enough, some how they manage...

did your card get your money back? I hope so, its about time they got shut down permanently. I would bet within the next year we will see someone drag them into court over their deceptive practices like this.

I had a small purchase 2 or 3 months back (long before the hurricanes) and went thru the same story. I had previously purchased from these guys and was able to save some money and had no issues. Unfortunately, I believe they have gone from drop shipping from SignatureSolar and are trying to handle their own distribution and it doesn't appear to be working. I called and emailed and got the same run around as above and finally called the credit card company and cancelled. I ordered the same product from another vendor (currentconnected) and had it almost immediately. My order with SolarSovereign still shows as unfulfilled btw.

Everyone looking to save a few dollars will keep this company flush with orders and some sort of cash flow.

I wonder how many charge backs a CC have to put up with before they say enough and shut them down.

I feel bad for those that continue to feel like they are doing their homework and “getting a good deal” only to come here and post their horror stories.

I haven't gotten it fully back yet, still waiting on the decision from Amex (historically they are very good when it comes to disputes). Amex says they are waiting for the merchant to respond with their supporting documents (hahaha) but I doubt Solar Sovereign will respond as they haven't responded to me in quite some time. I am not too worried as I have all the proof and they haven't claimed to already ship/deliver anything to me. So there is no reason they would have any grounds to keep the money. I also just noticed that solar sovereign has removed all EG4 products from their site. HUGE RED FLAG.

I also seem to have been taken by Solar Sovereign (@SignatureSolarJess was even kind enough to check in case they had an outstanding order and confirmed are no longer associated with Solar Sovereign). My order was placed on 18 July and I guess fortunate to receive the EG4 inverter and battery in early September but are still missing a pallet of panels and the last communication I received from them was the 18 Sept. I did not once receive an email like you're though.

Are there others lurking that also have not received orders? I generally don't like lawsuits, but wonder if it's worth some class action lawsuit.

you won't get anything from them... they are a couple of kids that were able to blow enough smoke up others asses to get them to support them with equipment and recommendations.

they basically blew any profit they might have made faster than they could make it, they then probably had to start floating orders in a pyramid scheme would be my guess. do a class action and you will find that they have no assets to take, no monies to pay out and only lawyer bills for yourself.

Forget about civil lawsuits. That won’t get you anywhere (see above message). It’s time to press criminal charges with the attorney general. It’s not just a company going out of business. It seems like they knowingly and intentionally delayed shipments or deceived customers that shipments were ready when they were not.

I wonder if Signature Solar took some losses too since most B2B operate on net terms. Not much can be done there unless there is proof of intent to deceive.
