Some LiIon protective circuits have separate input leads and output leads.
They have however no backfeed protection so if you put a full load to the inputs leads you get a backflow current (this current flows through the built in protection diodes of the FET switches and easily burn through. Not to mention: don't ever short the input leads.
The best is to add an ideal diode to prevent that, which will increase the cost by 35% but provide a much greater safety.
