Hi all,
Looking at two arrays in my cabin/shed.
1. 6x180w PV in 3s2p going into vic 250/100 MPPT and then to multiplus II and banking into 4/12v/120ah as a 24v/240ah bank.
2. 2x180w PV in series into victron 150/35 and specs as above.
All through Lynx Shunt and Lynx Distributor.

My questions are as fol:
a. Can I add another battery bank say 12v300ah onto the 150/35 array with a 500A shunt into the distributor?
b. Will both arrays need seperate isolators?

a. No. You are adding another battery in parallel with your existing battery. It should likely be done at the Lynx. You need to follow the best practices per line #6 in my signature.

b. I don't understand this. Each array is already separate as each array is on its own MPPT.

If your first system is 24v, why would you want to add a single 12v battery?

Or would you be adding a 24v 300ah to your existing 24v battery?

That is true, when I was 20 and I would shoot darts I could hit a bullseye everything between the 4th and 6th beer.... but I never could shoot pool no matter how much I drank.

I’m good for sinking two to three balls, then I get over confident and it all goes to shit.
