Dual Eve vs. Sunfun Terminals

I have two 4S packs to put together. Both will be going in a truck that will be used allot off (owner said stuff flys out of the cupboards) road.

I've seen the post about dual Eve terminals breaking and wondering if the Sunfun terminals are more durable.

Some of those posts were related to shipping issues where the cell terminals were not protected. There were some posts that were unrelated to shipping. Poor welds on the terminals.

I've read that EVE does not put the posts on the cells. The distributors do. So get the cells from a reputable distributor.

I’d be more concerned about cell fixation and preventing any movement than cell terminal type.

As long as the cells can’t move due to vibration or jolts, the terminals won’t see any stress.

If I had a mobile installation, I’d go with premade batteries.

Don't put it in an RV cupboard? j/k lol I off-road in my LR4 (no trailer) and just take it slow. I don't have mounting for it yet so it sits wedged kind of like the pic below, but I remove the inverter and stow it.

The pack has 4 EVE 304ah cells with the dual terminals on each cell. In a roll-over I'd have a 50 pound weight flying around. Mounting it is kinda hard where it is so I'm thinking about just using a leash instead. That way in a roll over down a mountain it will stay tethered and in the cargo area and not by my head or body.

Yes this is correct - I have been in touch with EVE direct and they advise the cells do not come with anything welded to the posts - they are sent out for welding by a 3rd party.
