Im a NEWBIE! My family is in a situation where this is what we have to do for now without professional assistance. Cant afford it. I have dual multiplus-ii 12/3000. I'm trying to figure out what wiring would be best for my family's situation. We will be completely off grid with 2800w of solar on 2 150/100 charge controllers with 2s7p for each controller and 1600ah eg4 v2 batteries for now. It's basically the 50amp rv kit from signature solar for a reference. We do have an onan 5500 generator on board that will serve as our backup. Should I do parellell or split phase with the inverters? Im definitely thinking split phase but confused if I can even make 240 without shore power. Any help would be a massive appreciation to my family. We have a 3 yr old little girl. We are moving on 5acres in a 40' toy hauler that we aquired in January. Wiring diagrams would be a dream come true.

In most cases, or with bigger inverters, I would recommend split phase. However, if you use the onboard generator nearly exclusively for backup, I would wire single phase to simplify/maximize use of on board genny.

Since your inverter/generator output can't exceed 6000W (50A @ 120V), you can't overload the neutral wire of your RV AC panel.

If you go split phase, only one MP-II can charge from the genny.

Keep in mind that you're poised to discharge 6000W @ 12V... that's 6000W/12.8V/.85 = 551A. You're going to need THICK cable.

I am guessing that your 5th wheel is already wired for split phase now, but sometimes they are 120 vac / 50 amp split phase.

For 12 volt feeding V 3000 / 12s, I would run a parallel wire set to each inverter. That way you can actually bend the wires.

Two inverters is just doubling up on some items that you have or are in this diagram.

If you post what state you are in, it might be possible for others to help / make your life easier.

If you use your generator as ( generator ) ----- ( charger ) ---- ( battery pack) then you can wire it up as single phase or split phase - within the limits of the inverter capability.

You put this in Marine section- but mentioned 5 acres?

what does your shore power cords look like - do you have one or two -
my guess is that shore is 120v -
generator is 120v
and the boat is wired as 120v -
if that’s the case - wire them in parallel- which will be easier.

Do you have any double pole breakers on board? - probably not.

But if you are on Land go Split phase - that way you can buy 240v dryers, well pump, shop tools, etc.

Maybe thats why I haven't gotten very much feedback. I was unaware I posted in the marine section. I greatly appreciate your time and correction.
