Far more surge as well.4x mp2 5k is a total of 60w idle draw. Less or equal idle draw to a flexboss and 4kw more output from battery.

More surge than the two Quattros? With 2 Quattros (for say a house/off-grid install), AC-in 2 could be useful for a generator. And the cost for 2 Quattros is less over all.Far more surge as well.
Sorry versus the flexboss 21.More surge than the two Quattros? With 2 Quattros (for say a house/off-grid install), AC-in 2 could be useful for a generator. And the cost for 2 Quattros is less over all.
Wiring complexity I suppose is something too, although I don't think it's a showstopper.
I've been debating this setup.
Basically same power as dual Quattros but with 1/4 idle draw, more complex wiring and a bit more cost.More surge than the two Quattros? With 2 Quattros (for say a house/off-grid install), AC-in 2 could be useful for a generator. And the cost for 2 Quattros is less over all.

Gorgeous.Sun was very delayed yesterday so we topped out at 69% but today should be cloudless tons of power.
Went for a hike up at 6,200ft where winter has returned.

Yep just up the road.@NC_hydro think I saw you at the gap yesterday, kidding but you were 5 minutes away. Working on a lot of post Helene cleanup still. Was hoping for it to be warmer.

Not home, we had to head back early. Daughter has volleyball tournament in Knoxville. I turned off the mini split mid day yesterday and started up the wood stove last night. Otherwise it would have been lower this morning. Probably will be a record day though.Gorgeous.
So should have a nice new record today and potentially more if you are home to crank some dump loads as well after you hit tippy toppy, or during if feeling cocky![]()
Yes that’s my favorite spot, you can drive to within .5mi of that overlook June-September but the road is closed otherwise. It was a 6.57mi round trip walk to get this shot yesterday.Amazing pictures! Especially 2 and 3
Count me in! My son and I love these mountains, we're the other side of Raleigh though, about 3+ hours awayYes that’s my favorite spot, you can drive to within .5mi of that overlook June-September but the road is closed otherwise. It was a 6.57mi round trip walk to get this shot yesterday.
This is the place I’ve contemplated trying to do a DIY solar get together this summer. I think there are a good number of members not too far away. @ChrisG being the closest lol
It’s definitely worth the drive. Will post something when figure out a time. Thinking probably July-September timeframe.Count me in! My son and I love these mountains, we're the other side of Raleigh though, about 3+ hours away
That's quite the slope you have there. Lots of trees too.@NC_hydro think I saw you at the gap yesterday, kidding but you were 5 minutes away. Working on a lot of post Helene cleanup still. Was hoping for it to be warmer.

@Brucey It’s rough and faces ESE. Have not found a way to get something built on it yet to securely hold panels. Very open to suggestions. Need some safety equipment attached to deck to work on that slope. The fun I would have on that slope already nicely angled ....![]()

I'd do z brackets on the panels and then just pound these in, won't protect from uplift if you get into a funnel but should stop them sliding down the slope. Harness and self belay device to work back and forth.@Brucey It’s rough and faces ESE. Have not found a way to get something built on it yet to securely hold panels. Very open to suggestions. You know the rock we have hidden on this mountain. Interested in your ideas. Can get really windy here.I've got some ideas of how I'd panel that slope if it was mine.Have some friends wanting to do solar down in Madison County NC with a slope in front of their house of similar slope.
