DUMFUME 300AH Happy Surprise

What I did was buy like $10 worth of stuff and get $100 coupon code that applied to 2 of these batteries then bought 2 more of the batteries and got the same $100 off code what way I i was able to get $200 off the 4 batteries. I also used paypal , I just bought some bus bars and other random stuff I would need for the batteries then got the coupon codes .

Well too late this time. I had bought 2 other orders one being delivered tomorrow but I never got any coupons/codes. I must not be in the club.

And the one they offered is an imit...igh-Current-300A-Peak-600A_1600902613432.html

Make sure you have the correct type wire to hook things up to your terminals- I ordered a couple of 50ft spools of #8, and some shorter lengths of 6, 4, 2 - all silicone 200c wire. I am using it because it is uber flexible verse the temperature.

This is to avoid the picture like our friend in the MB31 terminals break off - he hooked his battery cell to terminal wire up with what looks like 2/0 and it snapped some welds off.

they hide the coupons -

When you buy something to get one - hover over the user icon at the top right... then a good way down is coupons

I get this, so no coupons

I did get a phone call from Temu today confirming that I bought the batteries. Very basic questions: did you make a purchase on this day at this time? how many items? is it for business, personal, gift? That's all.

So I believe I know why my capacity was a little lower than I would expect for 314ah cells. My cheap 10amp charger only charges it up to 13.8v. I believe fully charged should be closer to 14.4? I know voltage is not the most accurate way of measuring SOC. However the spec sheet for the cells and the batteries say 14.6v (3.65 per cell) should be max.

You need a better charger and one designed to do LFP batteries
It has a lifepo4 setting. Everything I have done and the dedicated lifepo4 chargers I have are for 48v systems. These are the first 12v lifepo4 batteries I have used and seeing as I plan to use them for a 48v system I really didn't want to spend the money and a 12v one.

Mine are sitting in CA waiting for FedEx to pick them up. FedEx says "Adult Signature required" is that typical? The 10 batteries I received from LiTime were just left on my front step. 6 from LiTime website 4 from Amazon. {More to come about my most recent LiTime order once it is resolved. . . . .} fingers crossed

So you are saying that the Dufume batteries are 280AH batteries? But real capacity is still unknown . . .

I am saying i cut the top off one of my dumfume 12v300ah batteries and the battery type is LF280k... which means they won't be better than that longterm.

I set the other batteries on a scale compared to this one and they all weigh the same... so all 8 of mine are 280ah cells... I have requested a refund on 7 of them and the one I cut up matches my wattcycle.

The difference between 280ah and 314ah cells is about 10mm taller so the case is identical for both, the but the 314ah are heavier.

And , no that is someone checking the wrong box or checking it as just signature required and it translates to adult signature with id.

So anybody got the actual weight of an unmolested Dumfume 300 ah vs a Wattcycle 300 ah ? If they are selling 280 ah batteries as 300ah batteries the factory advertised weight maybe questionable.

@robbob2112

Oh man now I am nervous... I hope that I did not get a mixture. What did yours weight? I haven't opened the lids on the other 3 yet. I just weighted mine and all 4 are exactly 57.4lbs each (battery only no packaging) including the one I opened so I think I am good. I will probably pop the tops on them tomorrow. At the $212 each I paid I was expecting 280ah and would have actually been happy with that.

How did you get the lid open without cutting it? I tried several things and finally cut it.

I used a putty knife, once I got it in I used a hammer and hit the side of the putty knife to get it to slide along the channel and tear out the silicone.

Well :poop: 57.4 lbs. Have to see what happens for the folks that ordered multiple batteries.
Have to say good packing and 5 days from order to delivery.

My 4 will arrive a week from tomorrow, I will get that $5.00 for getting the batteries to me late. What A Bargain

Now question: Lets assume that the batteries have the 280AH cells, is there any other issues with those cells other than the batteries under performing? If I am willing that accept that I bought 280AH batteries and not 300AH batteries is there anything else I would need to worry about? I am considering opening up all 4 batteries I bought and make them into 2 280AH 24 volt batteries with the purchase of a pair of appropriate BMSs. I would use the same cases the batteries came in as robbob2112 suggested in his previous post. I will get some silicone 200c wire to make the connections as mentioned above. I don't have an full plan yet but will before I start making the changes.

Yours is 57.4lbs as well? You probably got the same 314ah that I did. I really wish I ordered more from the same batch now 😂

The LF280K are still good cells, just less of a deal if they aren't the 314ah cells. I would just make sure yours are all the same before you connect the. In serious or parallel.

57.4lbs for all of mine... the only difference between the wattcycle and dumfume is the dumfume has some sort of separators between cells, and the endplates are heavier while the the wattcycle wraps the cells...

I have the jbd bms on the wattcycle and that weighs 59.2lbs... the jbd is a lot heavier than the original bms

Dumfume on the left, wattcycle on the right

2.75 x 7.75 x 8.0 inches ....69.8 × 196.8 × 203.2 mm

Eve 314 are 207.2×173.5×72mm remark: ±1mm
12.35lbs each 4 x means 49lbs.

Lf280k cells weigh 11.95lbs ...47.8...

So they are basically the same size and weight.. only about 2lbs per pack difference in weight so easy to fake if they care to just use a little extra material here and there... so no way to know from the outside

and the bms, a bit of Google translate magic from Chinese
