DUMFUME 300AH Happy Surprise

And lemme confirm -- that is me - which means these were my returns.

Yup and they have the mailing label pictures

If needed I will do a charge back. But I am still hoping they will do the right thing.

I don't see what's the problem with returning them. Just get a tape and tape the box and leave it to ups.. if ups doesn't accept them then you can report that

I’m very new to this thread. Only looked at one page. I see an address covered up in Carson California. I live about 20 minutes away from there. Is there someplace you want me to drive to? If this is another freight, forwarding place, kinda like Riuxu uses in Ontario, they absolutely will not let me in to look around.

It appears that they are more wiling to work with me after I sent a bunch more pictures. They've asked me more questions and I need to provide more information about the individual batteries tomorrow and I think we will get this resolved in an equitable manner in the next few days.

Tell them they owe me a free battery for disputing my information

HAHAHA - I imagine they will want to get it back to the warehouse to inspect before they ship it out again to some other person

Well, well, well. Temu now has 7 different brands of "Highest Quality" 12v 300 AH batteries for sale. They seem to be in the $325 range.
SO who's next?
The original Wattcycle is $426 and there is a new Humsienk 310AH for $318, so why settle for mere 280 cells.

good luck with any of the 300ah batteries with the generic names actually having 300ah + cells in it... I am just gonna guess some mfg made a bazzilion of these with the 280ah cells and sold them blank or when they fill the order and box them they apply the labels....

Welp, reading through the last couple pages of this thread has me fuming about this dum company. 😆 Scratching them off the list. I got burned once buying one of these dookiedork, named batteries. I'll stick to the proven names. Or continue buying raw cells and building what I need. I've made 4 purchases of 40 cells from 18650 store. Not a single issue. I'm willing to pay more for good, quality cells from a reputable seller than deal with this crap.

i got 10 of their batteries around mid jan when they were 240$ ish most of them came around 300-305ah with renogy shunt but later on they start increasing the price as much as up to 310$ and in the mean time i found another one newtipower got for under 290$ they all came around 325-335 somehow :D

280ah cells in the dumfume and 314 cells in the newtipower

will return the rest of the dumfumes. anyone knows if newtipower has anycertifications? i want to use them in illinois for grid tie energy storage. any advice for cheap batteries if these wont work?why not.keep.the dumfume they are certified
Battery Pack Certifications CE/UN38.3/Class9/IEC62133/RoHS Cell Certifications UL1642/UL2580/UN38.3 what ones are you looking for that dumfume does not.have

How do you know 314AH in Newtipower?

I tested only 3450W when testing Newtipower and guess the cells are mismatched and have to tear it down soon.

I don't think any Chinese company using any cells over 300AH and branding it as 300AH. It is probably less. BTW Newtipower and Dumfume cases are exactly the same from outside except for a battery voltage which is off by 0.5V

Hunsienk has multiple products for 280, 390, 310 and I guess they are referred by cells used though they also have a mini 300AH in the exact dimensions like NewtiPower and Dumfume which I suspect would be 280AH.

I am making an assumption from the test result of 325 or more.. 314 cells when new test out about 325 to 330 when new. That doesn't mean all will have 314 cells, just the battery that was tested. Some of the Dumfum had those 314 cells in it when they were opened up. But most have 280ah which test out at around 300ah when brand new and they loose capacity and level off around 280ah.

There is room in the case for all those cells with little left over. The DumFume had the bms at the end of the cells while the wattcycle had the bms on top which is what caused problems with the lid popping open

I am testing the 3 Dumfume 12 volt batteries that I received with the busted up boxes. I will call "Battery 2 is showing weird voltages. After drawing 11 amps and having a cutoff set to 10.6 volts the test stopped after 11 hours and 128 AH the battery shows 0.07 volts. I confirmed this voltage with a multi meter. Anyone have an idea as to whats happening here.

That is possible, do you think that I should do a top ballancing before I load the load batteries? I'll test the BMS in a little bit. And then charge up the batteries. I have a couple 60 amp chargers and then use a 3000 watt inverter to give them a workout.

The 10.6 volt discharge cut off ought to be okay. Wouldn't you think so?

When most BMS go into protection mode the voltage you see at the terminals will never be accurate.
you very well could still have 10.6 V or more at the terminals during the test but if one cell drops to the bms cut off the whole BMS is going to shut down.
Meaning possible imbalanced cells
