ECO-WORTHY 51.2V 280AH 14.336kWh Beasty Battery

I saw this a few days ago and it looks nice, but I don't like the narrow base profile on the wheels.
It seems like tipping this over would be very easy to do.

Same wheels as the ruixu. It will tip for sure. I mentioned that in my video but Having 300 pound brick on wheels thats top heavy is so dangerous its not even funny. Remove the wheels or dont install them on any of these batteries. Use a hand truck.

How about if you buy two and fasten/band them together. That should add some stability to them ;)
That would be 5.6 Server Rack Batteries.

Or put them in a matrix:

It is good that Will has warned us. That thing falling over on your foot wouldn't be a good thing. Even when I move the 100 lb rack batteries I treat them with great respect. I have New balance hard toe shoes.. Seriously I wear them all the time.

To my surprise, it did not feel like it was tipping over when I was moving it around. Although I only moved it like 6 feet and went reaallll sloooow. I wanted a battery with wheels as there is no way for me to move 300lbs unless I rented some equipment and got some help. The wheels made it very easy for me. So far, it has worked just fine. Came with 2awg cables and plan to replace them once my 2/0 cables and fuse arrive.

If you need to move it around a furniture dolly is $15 and is very handy around the house. I have a few of them floating around the house. And several retailers regulartly put them on sale for $10 ea around here.

(still, bolt that heavy thing to the wall once you get it into its final home)

Now what Will has warned all of us of heavy high profile batteries we will be very careful.

That thing is a beastly battery. My Beast should be here before the end of next week.

I'll start sharpening my test tools for upcoming interrogation :devilish:

Now all new batteries go in for deep charge & discharge cycles through a Victron Shunt before they go into service. Years from now I can measure the degradation.

The Beastly Battery Bootcamp awaits 🪖🎖️

But then you have to get it on and off that dolly. My EG4 WallMount batteries are #300 and they moved just fine with a 2-wheel hand-truck. I needed some help to get the first one 4" up on the wall, one person using the end of the hand-truck as a lever to get it up and the other person pushing it back into the wall bracket, but wheels would have just gotten in the way. It wasn't _easy_ but I got the batteries out of the crates and upright, and then moved them into place with the hand truck mostly by myself.

The poster I replied to specifically said he wanted wheels. I showed some wheels.

You don't have to pick up the beast and set it down onto the furniture dolly. You tip it over onto its back onto the dolly, move it into place, then stand it back up. Yes, a hand truck would be easier.

They should have kept the two back wheels non-swivel, that way you could not push from the "long" side just steer the front and push straight. harder to flip on its side always moving with the front handle as the only contact and longitudinally. Would add a little safety.

Nothing more entertaining then seeing a Barracuda do a dissection

Impluse-purchased a Rhino Cart at Costco for under $100, after not using it for a few months, I used it for moving freezers and fridges around recently, and I'm hooked. 1 ton capacity, light weight, and PERFECT for moving something like this 300+ lb battery around. Rolls right over smallish obtacles like cords/thresholds, etc. Could even pop over a 1X board repurposed as a ramp.

edit: chrome updated and killed uBlock, so now learning Firefox..fun times. BBcode buttons aren't working for me...

I managed to safely get it out of the box unassisted. I moved all the feed down past the wheels and tilted it over. I took great respect of its weight. I rolled it onto the back porch to charge it up with some free elections that I harvested over the weekend. Cool mid 70F so it will be fine with a blanket over it while it charges.

I have turned the backyard into a battery testing station with my water cooled load.

Trying to figure out how he kept this secret over the weekend! Dude's killin it.
I so wanted to take the cover off while it was laying flat. There are screws on the bottom that I should have taken out before lifting it.

Right now it is going to take some time to charge up. I need to cycle it a few times in the Cement Pond Dummy Load (CPDL) and see how it does.

I so have to share a little time with work, grandkids, and my incredible loving wife... So many toys so little time 🤟😍.

How many cycles does it take to get to the center of the Beast ? 1, 2, or 3 ?
