It’s 2249 on eBay. I’m still torn on that vs the 639 a pop for the dc house 51.2 100ah 48s with Bluetooth

Might as well get it ordered! I would assume the Brice will get lower in time, but with tariffs nobody really knows.

The eBay deal appears to be the best option currently.

On paper it looks like 3 years but then they also make the statement that they'll warranty for up to 10 years with support.

Valley assume there's an internal fuse you always add one external. I'll have to crack one open and see if there's room to put it in there

I just realized if my wife saw that little portable one and maybe if I put some bigger wheels so she could wheel the front yard should be all over that thing He's always cutting down dead trees and doing all kinds of stuff and she's complaining about her Ryobi plug-in batteries don't last long enough... Get her a real power tool with a rolling battery she'd be all over that

been watching them a while waiting for buyer feedback, all their positive feedback was for a cheap nest thermostat, finally had first feedback from a battery buyer, and it was a scam warning. unfortunately every reasonable 14-16kwh battery on the fleabay appears to be from this same seller... tanstaafl.

Now what Will has warned all of us of heavy high profile batteries we will be very careful.

That thing is a beastly battery. My Beast should be here before the end of next week.

I'll start sharpening my test tools for upcoming interrogation

Now all new batteries go in for deep charge & discharge cycles through a Victron Shunt before they go into service. Years from now I can measure the degradation.

I just did a capacity test on a DC House 12.8V 165Ah with Bluetooth I bought in December on sale. I connected a Harbor Freight 2K inverter to it for a "yard box". I made some changes to the settings. Running a 1.5KW Immersion Water Heater that I use for battery testing as well as dump the energy into the pool it went over the 130 Amp max setting so I changed it to 139 Amps. Worked fine. I also changed the Balance settings anything over 3450mV at 10mV deviation. Capacity Test came out at 160 Ah just shy of the 165 as advertised. First time was 159 Ah. It had only been cycled...

The 639 for the 5 kWh 48 V is still on the DC house eBay website. What is super goofy is they’ll have 20 listings for the same item at different prices and you have to click on them to see the promotional price.

Seem less expensive per Amp Hour to get 4-51V 100AH batteries, then if one has an issue you still have backup

The one advantage to this big box is if you only wanted one or two big batteries and you put them up against the wall they would take up less room space than rack batteries. And no rack. The cells have a lot more capacity to them also. This would lay flat against the wall in a closet.
