Eco-Worthy v3 48V Server Rack 'IT' Problems

I have been running an Eco-Worthy v3 48V Server Rack as part of a hand truck build for a few weeks now, and generally pretty happy with it, but there are two "Information Technology" type problems I am wondering if anyone has a solution for.

First, when I discharge the battery, while the 'details' tab of the iOS app generally gets things right, the 'summary' tab reports a very large positive current...I suspect something is treating a singed binary number as an unsigned number. I also have 2 12V 100Ah Eco-Worthy batteries (with dongles) that I monitor throughout the same app, and they don't have this problem.

Second, I can't get the battery to connect through WiFi. Again, the 12V batteries work fine on both WiFi and Bluetooth. Has anyone got their v3 server rack battery on WiFi?

Thanks!

have you tried connecting the V3 with bluetooth? You might have already done this.....
Bluetooth works.

I should add, that looking at my router, I can see the v3 battery is connected to my WiFi, but for whatever reason it isn't showing up in the WiFi section of the app.

Hi
Are you using the ECO-WORTHY APP?
If not, you can try to install the APP through this QR code, and then connect to WiFi. If you still cannot connect to WiFi, you can try to change the battery as the master device to connect.

If it is the ECO-WORTHY APP, can you provide a screenshot of the BUG interface and I will contact the IT engineer to solve it?

I am using the ECO-WORTHY App. Here are some screenshots for the discharge current reporting issue:

I will send an email to customer.service@eco-worthy.com about the wifi issue.

I am having that same issue for discharging as well. Sometimes it shows up, sometimes it shows that large number. I have never seen it as a problem though.

The workaround of switch to the Details page is easy enough, but I figured if someone else had a fix it would be good to know.

Also, as a recovering software engineer I appreciate a good bug report.

Just realized that my details page is empty. The app sucks.

I just use the JBD BMS app. I am a software engineer as well 😀

The answer to the battery not showing up in the WiFi portion of the ECO-WORTHY App was to remove the battery from the app, and then add it back and re-bind it to Eco-Flow's servers (even though the app says there is no way to unbind once bound...). This made it show up in the WiFi part of the app, but as unreachable. Power cycling the battery a few times and fiddling with my router eventually made it reachable.

Also, before removing the battery from the app, I held down the power button for 10 seconds and hit the reset button...at least one of which should have reset the BMS. That didn't seem to have any effect, but it is possible that was also necessary.

This is why everyone hates computers....

I am using overkillbms app now. Works great and you can change the settings (voltage etc).

According to Susan from Eco-worthy the serverrack version 3 batteries will not work on Wifi. only on Bluetooth. If this is the case they need to amend their advertising. I have not been able to get the wifi to connect only the Bluetooth app. The batteries recommend the Eco-worthy app but Susan is pointing me to the JBD BMS app. It took a month to get a response from ECO-worthy. Emails do not work. I think the secret is to go through whatever platform you purchase through. I think there is some response pressure. I even direct messaged on the form here Eco worthy Support and nothing.

I want to share that I am now able to connect via Wifi on the JBD BMS app, so I am not sure why they are recommending the Eco-worthy app now in the instructions they ship or saying these do not have wifi functionality. In short customer support is a mess. You do not get a timely response and when you do, the information is incorrect.

We sincerely apologize for the confusion. Could you kindly let us know which email address you used to contact us? Susan’s statement was incorrect; our batteries do support WiFi connectivity.

Hello,
I was only able to get ahold of someone about the server rack through E bay. I did let her know I was able to connect via the JBD app with both Wifi and Bluetooth. She replied below. It still does not help me connect with the Eco-worthy app, which it the original issue. Do you know how to achieve that? 1761012308080.png

To use the WiFi feature in the ECO-WORTHY app, you must be logged in to your account and connected to a 2.4G WiFi network. Currently, if the WiFi name contains spaces, the connection will fail. Our IT department is working on a fix for this bug, which may take some time. You can wait for the app to be updated or modify the WiFi name to remove the spaces.

Thanks.

I'm trying to use Overkill to change/save bms settings in a couple v3 server rack batteries I just received, some stick/save, most do not. On another manufacturer's battery the Overkill app works no problem for changing, and saving, any setting.
