Hallo,

I have a Ecoflow Delta 2, and when I am on battery power, the time remaining stays at 99.98 hours, in other words not the real time remaining.

Does anyone else have this issue, and does anyone have a solution.

Thanks,

Jacques

My Delta 2 max will say that if there's very little or no load on it, or the AC inverter is turned off. Are you saying with a decent load of a few hundred watts for a couple minutes the time remaining doesn't adjust downwards at all

Yes, it remains at 99:98 hours, and does not adjust at all, as if the time remaining is stuck.

Sometimes the BMS gets confused in terms of its state of charge, especially if it doesn't regularly get drawn down to empty and then recharged fully. I would first try drawing it down to empty (turns itself off). Then fully charge and see how it behaves. Can also try a BMS reset.

- unplug all inputs and outputs.
- hold down power button until display shows OFF and it turns off. Release button.
- press and hold down power button for 10-15 seconds while it's powering back on

Also check in the app if there's any firmware updates available for it.

Thank you, I will try it. One question, what does the acronym BMS mean?

@Brucey

Thank you for posting the reset procedure. I noticed on my unit recently it thinks a full charge is only going to power a 6w load for 84 hours. Also reports 98 hours after a full charge with no load now.

Not much sun for me currently so I usually charge at a 200w rate from 120 until full charge. I use it power higher draw appliances like a 1300w microwave, dash brand mini cookers, or power tools.

If you are using a Delta 2 to power the loads mentioned as above you are pushing that unit quite hard. While the specs say it's an 1800 watt inverter I would suspect that to be an exaggeration to some degree by the company. It makes me wonder how long it will live pushing those kinds of heavy loads.

I have a Delta 2 and would never consider hooking a microwave to it.

No issues pushing my delta 2 max to 2400W but no surge beyond that. It's perfect for a high load like an air fryer etc.

Yours is the Max? model
Another set of specs for that model as compared to the Delta 2 non Max.

I'll stick by what I said earlier. Specs most likely overblown. It's not professional equipment and what company supplying the general marketplace doesn't stretch the truth?

No microwaves for my Delta.....

Yes mine is 2400W but the delta 2 can do 1800W it's not fantasy watts. One of the advantages of the delta 2 config is the 15A capability in a small portable form factor.

Mine is the regular LiFePo4 delta2 rated 1800w continuous 2700w surge with 1024Wh capacity.

The chop saw is probably the roughest on it at 15a. The microwave and power tools rarely go more than a few minutes at a time. The mini dash brand appliances are all under 800w and see about 15-30 minutes of run time.

Aside from a 5w or 55w lightstrip I only power one of the above devices at any given time. I do however think the large brief draws are likely what throw off the cell balance soc. Nice to know how to get the countdown to reset!

I live in an old mobile with aluminum wiring so I wanted something to take the high surge loads off the grid feed.

“Use that battery today”. Woot woot!
