I have 2 EG-4 PowerPro outdoor batteries that were under water.
The circuit boards are uncleanable (mud in the everywhere). Battery voltage is there at the output. Any hope for use/ recycle?

that were under water.

Salt water or regular water? If non-salt water, nearly all modern electronics can be washed off, and if properly dried afterwards will work fine. This is provided something was not powered and shorted during the water event.

Hello Mark, I tried contact cleaner and multiple brushes; not able to get under the chip leads, any suggestions. It was river water.

For flood damage there isn't really any warranty coverage and if water intrusion damaged the unit it cant really be fixed.

" The batteries appear fine (53v and 52v) but the circuit boards are covered in mud. I tried a brush and circuit cleaner spray but the cleaning doesn't seem effective (traces of mud under dip pack leads). I requested replacement boards from EG4/ Signature Solar but they refused; if not warrantee no parts.
Anybody have replacement boards or BMS for these batteries?

Low pressure air???
I have also used a can of non residue Brake Parts Cleaner or Carburetor cleaner (local auto parts store). Just make sure the cleaner does not strip any protective coating off of the circuit board. Use the little tube nozzle to direct the cleaner where you need it.

If the mud has dried you might consider soaking the board in something like alcohol or distilled water to soften the mud.

That's unacceptable, in my opinion.
@SignatureSolarJess pull some strings and help this guy out.

Thank you for the tag!

I'm so sorry! At this time, non-warranty repair replacement BMS boards are not currently available for sale by Signature Solar. However, we are hoping this will change very soon and be able to provide these to our customers! 🥳 In the meantime though, based on the conditions described, the damage to the batteries appears to be excluded from EG4's warranty (https://eg4electronics.com/warranty/warranty-eg4-14-3kwh-powerpro-wallmount-all-weather/). Perhaps, filing a claim with your insurance may resolve this without having to perform the repairs yourself. Please don’t hesitate to let us know if there's anything else we can assist with.

Thanks 42,I found a JK BMS that might work and requested a quote
18650 battery store is a great source but they are all out of stock.

These are showing in stock. I've ordered 4 JBD and lots of cells from Docan with no issues.

Edit to add, you should be able to get them on Aliexpress for under $100, there was a thread here somewhere.

Hmm depends how big the boards are, maybe ultrasonic isopropyl or distilled water with a bit of surfactant? let us know how this comes out. Take lots of pictures!
