Hi Forum,
This is my first post. We are planning to install a solar system at our off grid home in Maine (lowest temp ever recorded in our area: -37 C.) How would I maximize the solar input for:
EG4 12 kPV Hybrid inverter which has 2 MPPT’s with two inputs each (so you can parallel two strings into each MPPT which will act like a combiner box)
Voltage per MPPT: 140-500V
Maximum Amps per MPPT: 25
Supposedly, the inverter can accept up to 15,000W of solar input.
I have learned how to compensate for the low temp in sizing the array. I’m having trouble though finding panels that have a current of less than or equal to 12.5 amps (since if you parallel them, the two strings can maximally total 25 amps for each of the two MPPTs).
My question is: what manufacturer/wattage panels should I buy and in what configuration should I string them to hit near the maximum solar input of 15000W?
Thanks so much for your help!
