This is what was set by SS during remote with a tech. I try not to change anything at all. 101% is supposed to keep it fully charged whilst 100% only charges it to 100% once for the day. The SS tech mentioned that even though i had EG4 Life Power 4 which means i could do closed loop, mentioned it was better to keep to open loop and set to voltage instead of SOC due to the battery high voltage i was getting. He's doing open loop with 101% SOC limit, which doesn't make any sense to me, so I'm staying out of it. Just thought I'd post the results of my system running in closed loop in case the voltages the system chose for closed loop made any sense.
I've PM'd. Thanks for responding.Has this been resolved?
Seamless EPS switching. EnableEG4 16kPV specifications (page 1 user manual) state:
Transfer Time 20ms (default), 10 ms (configurable)
Questions:
1. How to configure the inverter for 10ms transfer time?
2. Are there any negatives/ down side to configuring for 10ms transfer time? I assume yes since that is not the default.
Thanks!
Appreciate the information. Is this documented anywhere? Are there any negatives/downsides to enabling Seamless EPS Switching? Thanks!Seamless EPS switching. Enable
I can’t remember all downsides, but it has been discussed somewhere on the forum. I believe one was that idle consumption increases.Appreciate the information. Is this documented anywhere? Are there any negatives/downsides to enabling Seamless EPS Switching? Thanks!

Okay but that information does not reference in any way that it changes the transfer time from default of 20 ms to 10 ms.This was previously included in the monitoring system, but I don't see it in the manual or the settings dropdown. I will forward this information to our technical writing team for adjustments.

Regarding drawbacks, there are typically none. However, fluctuations in grid voltage or frequency could lead to issues like intermittent flickering lights when this setting is enabled.
Inverter self consumption ?Solar supplying 196 watts. UPS usage 95 watts, battery draw 169 watts. 95 + 169 > 196. What's not accurate here?
Why? This thing can't measure its own consumption? Is it using some default value? Is this a known issue?Inverter usage
Inverter is charging battery, not drawing from it.Solar supplying 196 watts. UPS usage 95 watts, battery draw 169 watts. 95 + 169 > 196. What's not accurate here?
CT is set at 0 but I'm not sure how that is relevant. There is no grid voltage or current on the grid terminals.Inverter is charging battery not drawing from it.
Is your CT set at negative 40 ish?
Correct, in off-grid mode CT doesnt factor. I was curious as for when you are running from grid.CT is set at 0 but I'm not sure how that is relevant. There is no grid voltage or current on the grid terminals.
Appreciate that. I missed that sentence in the documentation. Makes me wonder what else I'm missing/don't know about/not documented. The Power values for anything under 200W, am I told by LuxP to take with a grain of salt.
I’m have the same issues with my 18kPV and 2 indoor wall mount batteries with only AC coupling. What I found during todays testing is with closed loop coms and either charging by SoC or Voltage the inverter will do this bypass mode you are referring to, I’ll call it battery disconnect because that is what is happening as seen on the LCD. When the inverter disconnects the battery it then uses the grid to power your loads even though you have a full battery and it’s in self consumption mode. There is no reason for it to do this but I had it happen during cloudy days. This starts to happen only when the battery is fully charged, once that happens a relay clicks (not the grid contractor) and then the battery stops its charge. Now if the AC coupling power is greater than the loads, then it remains in this state and the excess is exported to the grid, but now if a cloud blocks the sun and the AC couple power is less than your loads demand, then it imports the power completely from the grid and then starts the 300 second grid reconnect timer, problem is during this countdown of the timer the inverter is only using grid power and not discharging the battery as it is suppose to. Also during this timer countdown, if the AC couple power now exceeds your loads, then it will cancel the timer and go back to exporting the excess to the grid. During this series of events the green normal LED is off, but yet the green indicator on the LCD screen is lit, they don’t agree until the battery is back connected and either charging or discharging. Please help as this doesn’t happen on totally clear days as it is either charging most of the day or discharging at night, but once the battery is fully charged this 18kPV goes crazy. EG4 please help! After the AC kicks in at the lower Voc limit (was 47 now 50), the battery charges for a bit then the inverter kicks into what I'm calling 'bypass mode.' The grid just passes through and picks up the load with no problems, without solar or batteries (when one or both are available). I have to reboot the system for solar/batteries to pick back up. I will reach out to them, thanks for the tips

Thanks for the info, my 18kPV is currently running Firmware FAAB-1B1C with the LCD running 14/1/1/0. You should have to disable seamless switch in order for this to work properly. On my second 18Kpv I turned off seamless switch and never updated the firmware (1616). After doing this I never had the situation you are describing.
