How concerned should I be I'm not using EG4 batteries with my EG4 3000EHV 48V?

I just don't understand how important the communication part is? ...seems like I heard Will say "I don't use communication on my systems." or something to that effect.

Thank you

None whatsoever.

It can be awesome or problematic. MANY choose to operate without comms even when they have the option.

Thank you
As long as whatever 48v battery you have has some sort of BMS and you have a way to see what is going on in that BMS.

If you do not have a way to see what is going on in the BMS then sooner or later the battery will have some sort of issue and you will have no way to tell what is going on.

There's a reason i didn't bother with solar until lf280k's were a thing.

I invested too much in NMC PHEV packs before LFP was the cost effective option it is today. My $/kWh is comparable, but the labor to do it all is brutal... not to mention the 107 feet of aluminum bus bar and 1,176 holes that had to be drilled...

Such a dummy.

Yeah, i've seen them. it's nuts. Years ago i was thinking "who in their right mind would do that?"
