Hi all. Got a problem and was hoping to get some more eyes on this.

Just setup an EG4 3000ehv. I've got 3kw of talesun 385 watt panels in series. Max voltage is about 380v so I've never come close to the limit. Connected via 300amp busbars (with equal length 2 awg cables) to 2 Lossigy 48v 100ah batteries with 125amp mrbf fuses. Been using those for a few months now with no issue when connected to a straight scc. Connected grid power to ac in and a 20 amp strip for the ac out until i can relocate to a transfer switch at my panel. Double checked wire connections at all points are solid.

I have repeatedly (2 or 3 times per day) been getting fault 8, bus over voltage which hangs the system for a few mins until it restarts. If that was all it was i could live with that and i do thorougly enjoy the unit. But every 1 in 5 times it doesnt get handled and the fault won't exit until I manually reset it either locally or in the app. Once in every 10 faults I'll get a fault 3, main undervoltage.

Seems to happen when the battery is either full, or when going from a higher load to a lower load but not all the time. I've double checked that all my battery voltage settings match what the mfg advised.

Been working with a rep from Signature Solar but we haven't come up with anything which made a difference. Anyone have any ideas? Could this unit simply have a physical problem? I did upgrade the firmware. This is a v2 unit.

Tia!

New wrinkle. I watched as it happened. The fridge had just kicked on.

The fridge is connected to the ac out of a Bluetti AC200L. The Bluetti is connected to the 20 amp power strip, connected to the AC out of the EG4 3000 EHV.

The load at the time was negligible besides the fridge.

Did the BMS have any warnings/errors at the time?

It did not. I have noticed that by putting all Bluetti power stations in Grid Adapted mode, it seems to cut down on the occurrences when they are down the line.

And I've lowered my bulk to 55.2 just in case that matters too.

Something about the daisy chain you have going on with the fridge and bluetti the EG4-3k is not liking.
Have you tried just running the fridge straight from the EG4-3k?

I personally had to replace (under warranty) the first EG4-3k I received, it lasted a week and never worked right out of the box, right up till it stopped completely.
The second one has been great and no issues for almost two years.

Where is your N/G bond and do the etti or aio create one?
Ng is in the panel. If I don't connect the ac in to the eg4, I get an error on the outlet tester of everything downstream even the bluetti machines. Plugged in, it's fine.

The bluettis have an external ground screw when not plugged into grid but I don't use them.

So to sum up, reduced bulk charging to 55.2 and put all Bluetti power stations down stream into Grid Self Adaptation mode. Since doing that, the EG4 has only faulted 8, once. I've had excellent sun both days.

Shouldn't have to do that when the power source is a pure sine waiver inverter right?

@EG4TechSolutionsTeam should this item be replaced? Or do you have other things I can try?

Can you post some pictures of how you have your system set up?

Just want to look at how it's connected. It could be a wiring issue.
